The return of CM Punk is one thing no one saw coming, no one dreamt of as it has always been a “No, No Thing” until WWE Superstar John Cena teased yesterday that the MMA star could be on his way back to the giant wrestling company.
The 37-year-old wrestling legend was handed his termination papers by the company executives on his wedding day, in June 2014, the same day he was fired.
So it was a painful way to do the firing thing since it concerned the day he was supposed to call his happiest day – the day he took his marital wows with his wife, A.J Lee who was also a WWE star.
Hence, it was naturally spelled out, especially as there was a legal settlement with WWE, that CM Punk would never return again and he has never thought it worthwhile to talk in favor of that.
But as the longest-reigning WWE champion of the modern era faces another downtime on his journey to the Octagon, fans are now pitched on saying a CM Punk WWE return is a matter of when, not if.
And if he would return, he would most likely do that before WrestleMania 33 where he may be pitched to go toe-to-toe with The Undertaker. Already The Undertaker’s opponent is currently being talked about; and since he may likely call that match his last, Vince McMahon would want to make it a out-of-the-blues match.
Vince has been kicking for the return of Punk for a while now and if things eventually goes his way, then we would have Punk in WWE again.
We shall bring you more updates on his return as information becomes available to us….
