Report has it that Bill Goldberg left WWE twelve years ago and has finally returned. He had a match before leaving WWE at WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar and it seems that the Match at Survivor Series was a return match.
Brock Lesnar faced Bill in a loosed effort, similar to what happened at WrestleMania between the two veteran wrestlers. At first, Goldberg defeated Lesnar and also in this second time, it has repeated itself.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE is extending the Goldberg-Lesnar feud to Wrestlemania 33 was not the only reason that Goldberg’s contract was extended to 2017.
More so, Dave Meltzer stated that another reason WWE is bringing Goldberg back again is because Vince McMahon believes he can help increase the television ratings, something that has been a major concern on the USA Network this year with consistently declining numbers.
Furthermore, the deal that Goldberg has is very similar to Lesnar’s, so he is apparently open to wrestling any time that he receives a huge amount of money. Goldberg’s appearance has changed the plans for Wrestlemania 33.
Meltzer said that for a while they had been building up to a Shane McMahon vs Brock Lesnar match, but now with Goldberg back, it looks to be more likely that he will be facing off with Lesnar for the third time, and the second time on the grandest stage of them all.
