Finn Balor in great pains indeed
Apart from the NXT champion Samoa Joe who sustained and injury this last weekend, it seems that the present WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor was also a victim of a mishap during his match against Seth Rollins.
Finn Balor contended for the Universal championship title against Seth Rollins which fortunately he won and making him to be the first WWE Superstar ever to win a WWE World Championship on their PPV debut. It is a record breaking and a history making indeed, because it has never ever happened in this fashion before.
PW Insider is reporting that Finn Balor was seen wearing a sling on his right arm after SummerSlam. There is concern backstage that the injury is serious and might even need surgery which would put Finn on the shelf for at least a few months. This would cause him to have to drop the title so soon after winning it which would be a disaster, both for WWE and for Balor.
More so, Finn Balor has receieved an unimaginable push since his debut into the WWE main rooster, he has been a champion in the WWE NXT and infact the longest title holder in the NXT region. Finn Balor qualified to face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam after winning a fatal-4-way and a subsequent match against Roman Reigns on the same night. It happens that Finn Balor is truly injured, which means he well lose the WWE Universal Championship title.
But the point is that, whether or not he loses the Universal Championship title, it has well been credited to him as the first WWE Superstar ever to win a WWE World Championship on their PPV debut. Well, we strongly hope he retains the championship title at any event to maintain the name.
