WWE UPDATE: The Return Of The Lucha Dragons To The Company – See Their Opponent

A YouTube Video has been released by the WWE, teasing the return of former tag-team champions to Monday Night Raw. Although it has not been specified who the above mentioned champions are but, it seems to be the Lucha Dragons. It has also been revealed that the company initially had plans for Kalisto in the Cruiserweight division as a singles competitor; however, they presently want him to perform alongside Sin Cara as part of a tag-team on Raw.

Just for the records, the Lucha Dragons was formed by Kalisto and Sim Cara in 2014 and then they won the NXT tag-team championships back in 2014 after they defeated The Ascension at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way. They went their separate ways in June of last year and continued to perform for WWE as singles competitors.

However, ever since the breakup of the Lucha Dragons, Kalisto has competed in singles match ups on SmackDown, and Sin Cara has been signed to Raw. Rumors about an alleged reunion of the Lucha Dragons gained further steam on the latest episode of Raw (4/10/17), when Kalisto was announced as the latest SmackDown LIVE Superstar to be drafted to Monday Night Raw.

Taking a glimpse at the fact that former SmackDown tag-team champions Heath Slater and Rhyno have already been announced as draft picks for the red brand, and teams such as Sheamus and Cesaro; and Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are already on Raw, the Lucha Dragons, are the only likey former Tag-Team champions that remain.

Though the WWE has not as of now officially confirmed the the return of the Lucha Dragons, but fans are definitely looking forward to a potential reunion of Kalisto and Sin Cara in the weeks ahead on Raw.

Considering all that is going on, I think it is safe to say the red brand’s tag-team division is on fire right now. I mean, just think about it- The Broken Hardys The Hardy Boyz, The Club (Anderson and Gallows), Cesaro and Sheamus, the Revival and now, the high-flying Mexicanos- the Lucha Dragons.
