Leva Bates– Leva Bates, who has gained a ton of popularity in recent months playing the character “Blue Pants” in WWE NXT, returned to SHIMMER this weekend for their two-part taping event in Berwyn, IL. As we noted recently, it’s likely Leva has wrapped up her time in NXT, as she hasn’t been used for some time and was not called into the recent set of NXT television tapings.

– 27-year-old Portia Perez announced her retirement from pro wrestling at the aforementioned SHIMMER events, due to a battle with neck injuries that will require a surgery that unfortunately looks to be career-ending. She worked her final match on Sunday night as a part of a big, main event 8-woman tag team match. Other top names including Mia Yim, Jessicka Havok, Kimber Lee, LuFisto, Veda Scott and Saraya Knight (Paige’s mom) all worked the show, which has been getting rave reviews from fans in attendance.
