In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE ahead of a surprise announcement on Raw, WWE superstar Becky Lynch confirmed that she and fiancé Seth Rollins are expecting their first child together.

The 33-year-old revealed her pregnancy during Monday night’s episode while announcing she was relinquishing her Raw Women’s Championship belt to WWE superstar Asuka, the winner of Sunday night’s Money in the Bank. 

Becky Lynch tearfully announced her pregnancy Monday night on Raw and will be stepping away from the ring as she focuses on her child, who is expected in December..

“Tonight is no ordinary night for me. I’m torn between joy and sadness. Im at a place in my life where things are about to change and I need to do something about it,” said Lynch, who confirmed she “has to go away for a while” and cannot fight anymore.

As a result of this developing situation, Asuka is your new Raw Women’s champion.

“You go be a warrior, because I’m gonna go be a mother,” said Lynch, who celebrated the news with the new Raw women’s champion.

Reports of The Man’s rumored pregnancy surfaced online Monday as reliable sources such as @fightoracle  and PWInsider reported the news, with PWInsider noting that multiple sources confirmed the pregnancy.

Becky Lynch is currently engaged to top WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, however the couple’s wedding plans were delayed due to COVID-19.
