Billy Corgan Pleads CM Punk To Join The NWA

CM Punk was fired by AEW and the WWE rumors automatically started. These were probably the stories he wanted to spread, and it did not lead to the return of the Savior to the Second City.

There are other companies, and although they may not be able to offer huge amounts of money, they are always interested.

Impact Wrestling and CM Punk are hot in the rumor mill. At this time, they also brought in his old friend Ace Steel as a producer.

That being said, CM Punk has not appeared for another professional wrestling company since his release on AEW.

During an appearance on the Mat Men podcast, Billy Corgan commented on CM Punk potentially working for the NWA.
Corgan said he didn’t contact Punk because Punk is a big star and “deserves a lot of money.” If CM Punk wants to have fun then the NWA will definitely be open to him.

“That man loves professional wrestling. He may not love the professional wrestling business, but he loves professional wrestling.

My only appeal to Punk would be, if you want to have some fun, I can’t pay you what you’re worth, but if you want to have some fun, come have some fun in the NWA.

We’ll kick some ass, we’ll have some laughs, and I’ll buy you a vegan sandwich.”

With this heartfelt call from Billy Corgan, one can’t help but wonder if it would work for CM Punk. After all, CM Punk doesn’t need to make a lot of money, even though he deserves it.

He clearly loves professional wrestling and if he doesn’t want to retire, the NWA seems like a great option for him.

Only time will tell if CM Punk ends up with another company, with or without a contract. WWE denied his request to return and at this point, no one knows where the Second City Savior will be next
