Braun Strowman is currently recovering from a neck injury sustained in early June.

The big hitter had undergone cervical fusion surgery, and his return to the ring appears to be a long way off.

But that doesn’t mean Stroman doesn’t have an opponent in mind that he would like to face.

While speaking with News 18, Strowman wants to get “one more shot” at Gunther. He spoke highly of Gunther, saying he was one of about four men who were able to force Gunther to the mat by the three count.

“I would love to have another go at GUNTHER. He’s one of what, four men that have ever been able to put my shoulders to the mat for three?

And I give kudos to him. What he’s done with the Intercontinental Championship. He has completely elevated [the title], higher than it’s ever been elevated before.

In my opinion, he’s the greatest Intercontinental Champion that WWE has ever had, and he’s brought prestige to that title.”

He also called Gunther “the greatest Intercontinental Champion in WWE history.”

During the conversation, Strowman also talked about late WWE star Bray Wyatt. He described Wyatt as someone whose support helped get him to where he is today.

Additionally, he said that underneath the mask, Wyatt “was a family man who never considered anyone a stranger and was kind to everyone.”

He also stated that he is his son’s godfather and feels honored that Wyatt chose him to be his godfather.
