It brings so much pain to the heart as we learn that Bret’s brother, Smith Hart has passed away.

We are heavily saddened to inform you about the death of another member of the Hart family; he died at the age of 68.

Smith Stewart Hart, who is the eldest brother of Bret Hart and the late Owen Hart, has finally passed away after battling with terminal prostate cancer for a pretty while.

Smith’s death was announced on his official Facebook Page and we couldn’t help but bring you the sad update as the wrestling community mourns.

And while a number of fans may not know him much unlike his brothers Bret and Owen who had such a tremendous wrestling career, Smith after retiring from professional wrestling promoted a few shows and also opened a wrestling school in Ontario and also worked as a columnist for PWMania.

We bring to your notice that among others, Smith had success records in NWA and The World Wrestling Council. He appeared for WWE on two occasions with the first one coming during the 1994 SummerSlam match between Owen and Bret. His second and last appearance for WWE came during the WrestleMania 26 match between Vince McMahon and Bret Hart. Also, Smith was an American-Canadian professional wrestler and a member of the Hart wrestling family. His parents were Stu and Helen Hart.
