F4wonline.com has just reported that Stampede Wrestling legend Archie “The Mongolian Stomper” Gouldie has passed away this afternoon while asleep at the age of 78. The report detailed that The Mongolian Stomper had been down for a while following complex health issues and recently things got worse for him when he fell and broke his hip which organically made him visit the theatre for hip replacement surgery and in the process he died.

Few other basic things we would love to note concerning the life of Gouldie is while he traveled around the globe doing his work, reports revealed that he was one of greatest heel in the account of Stampede Wrestling and his death was so touching owing to the fact that he wrestled with Alzheimer’s for a while before death caught up with him.

Gouldie tough ex-football player did several matches in Calgary, and on one encounter Stu Hart beat him hands down because Gouldie challenged him with the presumption that wrestling was fake and easy. He apologized later and got trained by Hart and the rest is history.
