It would be recalled that the news about his sickness and health condition was made known to fans late last year when the band was due for recognition at the Kennedy Center Honors in December before finally giving out the report that: “The Eagles will be unable to participate in the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors on December 6th due to Glenn Frey’s health,” adding that “Mr. Frey has had a recurrence of previous intestinal issues, which will require major surgery and a lengthy recovery period. The Kennedy Center has graciously agreed to postpone the Eagles’ award presentation until next year, when all four Eagles, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, can attend.”
