During last week’s WWE Raw Day 1 special, the match between The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso vs. Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci had to end early.

During the match, Vinci was injured when Kingston hit him with a dropkick under the jaw as he jumped off the second turnbuckle.

On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, Michael Cole gave an update on Vinci’s condition on commentary.
Cole said Giovanni Vinci will be sidelined for “a few weeks” due to injury.

Following Vinci’s injury, the Emperor’s partner, Ludwig Kaiser, sought revenge. Kingston and Kaiser faced each other in a singles match that ended in a double countout.

After the match, Kingston attempted a suicide dive on Kaiser, but Kaiser countered by putting his thumb in the eye.

Kaiser then began a brutal attack on Kingston, throwing an office chair in his face and delivering a running dropkick to Kingston’s head as he lay on the steel steps, causing havoc at ringside.

Officials and referees were eventually able to pull Kaiser away from Kingston and escort him backstage.

The feud between Ludwig Kaiser and Kofi Kingston added another level of intensity and rivalry to their feud on WWE Raw.
