CM Punk has garnered a lot of attention since his return to WWE at Survivor Series last month, captivating fans every time he appears on screen.

Punk also admitted that there was more to his return to WWE than just personal motivations.

The Second City Saint has appeared on Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT Deadline since returning last month.

It became pretty clear that Punk was just a big draw for the company and he loved being there.

When Punk left WWE the night after the 2014 Royal Rumble, fans continued to scream his name and never stopped. WWE even went so far as to directly address CM Punk’s chants during shows.

On Elite Comics and Culture City’s Instagram Live, CM Punk admitted that returning to WWE was not for him as he had no personal motivations, but rather that he wanted to thank the fans who have chanted his name for the last 10 years. He pointed out that it was for the sake of it.

This isn’t about me, this is about us. This about everybody that is behind me. That for ten years didn’t forget, chanted my name.

I’m going to put the boots back on for all of ya’ll. We’re going to go on this journey together.”

CM Punk will now be part of the Monday Night RAW family.

Punk has also confirmed that he will take part in next year’s Royal Rumble match, so it remains to be seen what Punk’s path to WrestleMania will be next year.
