CM Punk Tops Google Search Trend After WWE Return

Published

on

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series and was a huge hit that no one expected.

This upset many fans who had not even watched the premium live event. What happened next was a huge crowd searching for CM Punk’s name just to see what was going on.

We previously reported that CM Punk’s return to WWE was a hot search topic on the internet.

They received millions of views on YouTube alone. Google Trends wasn’t the only place to find out about this, as it reported some very impressive results.

CM Punk’s return received significant attention from mainstream media outlets including ESPN, USA Today, BBC, and FOX News.

In fact, it was his second most searched term in the country on Google yesterday, with 500,000 searches.

It’s worth noting that only wrestling, boxing, and MMA-related topics were in the top 20 searches on any given day this week.

It’s also worth noting that even UFC shows, which used to be a surefire path to the top 20, now no longer consistently achieve this level of search interest.
