Current Top Contender For Roman Reigns At WWE Royal Rumble Unveiled

WWE’s Royal Rumble will take place on January 27th at Tropicana Field. The company still has plenty of time to prepare for these big matches, but it looks like Roman Reigns’ opponent has already been decided.

Randy Orton returned to WWE and eventually signed an exclusive contract with SmackDown.

This puts him in the same league as Bloodline, a stable that wants revenge for missing out on 18 months. Of course, The Apex Predator has Roman Reigns in his sights.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said he was told that Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns was an option for the Royal Rumble.

“I know that it was under consideration. I also know that there were other ideas, too.

I thought from I watched RAW on Monday that it was gonna be Roman vs Randy at the pay-per-view.

There are ideas, but it’s possible that there were other ideas, too, so we’ll see how it plays out.

This is the strongest, by far. You could do Punk, but it’s too early, and Punk is with Rollins. Kevin Owens is going with Logan Paul.”

“The angle basically told you, right? They got 9 weeks to promote it, so that’s what I expect it being. Nothing else makes sense.

This is the most likely option for WWE at the moment, as other top names also seem to be busy with other programs at the moment.

There are a lot of options, but it looks like Randy Orton will have a big role to play in this situation where everything seems to be getting out of hand.

WWE is on track to finish in 2023 pretty well. Only time will tell what fans will be talking about by the end of the year.

As we head into 2024, Royal Rumble will give fans plenty to talk about.
