Dakota Kai Makes Last Minute Appearance At WWE SmackDown
Dakota Kai was released in May 2022 but returned during SummerSlam that year, where she returned as part of Damage CTRL alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky.
Although she later won the championship gold medal, things did not go well for Kai.
Kai also suffered an unfortunate ACL injury, Kai appeared in this week’s Smackdown, and it was a last minute decision.
As seen at the SummerSlam Premium Live event, Iyo Sky cashed out her Money In The Bank briefcase on Bianca Belair and beat her to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Dakota Kai also appeared after the win to celebrate Sky.
Her appearance was a last-minute decision and she had to make a hectic journey to get to the show.

She also appeared on Smackdown this week, where she joined Damage CTRL and cheered as Sky and Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair and Asuka.
Dakota Kai is still a long way from being able to return to the ring after ACL surgery. We’ll have to wait and see when she triumphs back to WWE television.
