The Rock and Jim CornetteDwayne The Rock Johnson ran across the National Wrestling Alliance, NWA Powerrr and it was definitely impressed. The first episode of NWA Powerrr was quite impressive and a whole lot of people applauded it.

Jim Cornette is an announcer on the new NWA show and he was really in his element. The Rock sent out a congratulatory tweet to Cornette for a great show with a vintage feel.

im Storm and Nick Aldis NWA rebirth

Congrats Jim, the boys, crew etc. Stumbled across this show last night and enjoyed it. I grew up in territories and started my career at channel 5 in Memphis so I have a lot of love/respect for small scale, crowd tv shows. Cool vintage feel. Keep working hard boys. Rock

For those of you unaware, Billy Corgan’s vision for the NWA is to present an old school product with some new school mixed in. The weekly NWA Powerrr show takes place in a studio with a setup similar to the wrestling studio shows that aired on television in the 1980s.

The Rock seemed impressed with the show. He tweeted: “Congrats Jim, the boys, crew etc. Stumbled across this show last night and enjoyed it. The Rock NWA

The Rock hasn’t forgotten about where he comes from and watching something like NWA Powerrr had a real throwback feel. NWA’s new show certainly got a great rub from The Great One with that tweet.

The Rock was not the only wrestling personality to chime in on the show. Names like Corey Graves, Bully Ray and The Blue Meanie have also praised the show:
