Ex-WWE Star Wins Prestigious Title After exiting The Company

WWE had fired many people from the Company this year, including many NXT talents.

That said, one former NXT star in particular captured the title in his first match since recently leaving WWE.

Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz are one of the mainstays of the NXT women’s division as they often compete in exciting matches.

Her final match took place on the August 1 episode of NXT, where she teamed with Valentina Feroz but lost to Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice.

It was later revealed that Yulisa Leon requested her release from NXT. Leon, now billed as “Julissa“, made her in-ring return on November 3 for The Crash Lucha Libre in Mexico.

She competed in a five-way battle royal against Keyra, Trish Adora, Zamaya and champion Dulce Tormenta.

Julissa eventually won the Crash Women’s Championship in her first match since August of that year.

It’s great to see former Yulisa Leon has become a singles star and is charting her own path after leaving WWE. We’ll have to wait and see what happens to her next.
