Ex WWE Superstar Still In Touch With Triple H

WWE offers opportunities to its stars and staff, but sometimes it doesn’t work out. Despite Eric Young’s final stint causing him to leave before even returning to television, he still kept in contact with Triple H.

Eric Young was among those re-signed with the company by Triple H at the end of 2022, following Vince McMahon’s initial retirement from WWE.

However, Young did not return to WWE television, as Bray Wyatt’s unexpected absence led to plans involving him as part of the “New Wyatt Family” being scrapped.

Following Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE and the subsequent return of Vince McMahon, Eric Young requested his release, citing his unwillingness to work with McMahon.

After Endeavor took over, McMahon’s role in establishing WWE was reduced, with Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel taking the helm.

Young has maintained a positive relationship with Triple H, mentioning in an interview with Haus of Wrestling that they are still in contact and spoke “just a few days ago”. Looks like they’re still friendly.

“I still have a very good relationship with Hunter; I was just talking to him a couple of days ago.

I loved it. The truth is, I never wanted to leave NXT.

I knew that the main roster was the destination, and that’s where you made money, and that was kind of the end goal for most people.

But the truth was deep in my heart I never wanted to leave in the first place. So yeah, I absolutely loved NXT. The main roster was not the same experience.

It was a very poor experience, probably my least favorite out of my 30-plus years in wrestling.”

Eric Young was part of Triple H’s backstage plan but it was unsuccessful. Eric Young is now moving on to his next adventure, but it looks like he still has some very important connections to important people in WWE.

We’ll have to see if Eric Young returns to WWE or not. His last run yielded no results, but at least he gained some great experience along the way.
