Former WWE Star Says Vince McMahon Has Banned Him From Hall Of Fame
A former WWE star says Vince McMahon personally told him he’s never getting into the WWE Hall of Fame. The former WWE Star says Vince McMahon has banned him from Hall Of Fame.
Ahmed Johnson, real name Anthony Norris, said as much during a recent interview with Sportskeeda. The 57-year-old worked with WWE from 1995 to 1998 and had management pretty high on him as he was pushed up the card and had a run as Intercontinental Champion before leaving.
Johnson went to WCW, where he worked for a year. He retired from wrestling in 2003. Asked why he isn’t in the WWE Hall of Fame, the 1996 Kuwait Cup winner revealed he had a falling out with McMahon right before he departed WWE.
“Because me and Vince had a falling out…right when I left…I believe around 98,” he said. “We had a falling out, and he told me then that I wouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame because of our falling out. He actually told me that.”
The Beef Was Widespread
McMahon wasn’t the only one Johnson had issues with during his spell with WWE. During the interview, he said he isn’t really on good terms with his Nation of Domination stablemates.
“Not really,” he said after being asked whether relationships were intact. “Spoke to Farooq a few times. I don’t talk to Magilla Gorilla (Mark Henry). I definitely don’t talk to D’Lo.”
“I don’t like people who kiss b***. I can’t stand that,” he added. “I can’t stand that. If you can’t make it on your own talent, don’t be kissing b***, and talking about other people behind their backs and trying to knock somebody else. I don’t like that.”
Henry has been pretty open on his beef with Ahmed. As for D’Lo, the former WWE and WCW star says he didn’t appreciate how he acted on the back of accidentally ending Droz’s career in 1999.
“And then D’Lo, when he paralyzed Droz, that was it for me and him because there was word that he didn’t take care, or didn’t call him, didn’t go see him,” he explained.”
You paralyzed him, but you didn’t; I don’t know what I would have done if that would have been me. If I would have paralyzed somebody. I’d be at your service 24 hours if I could.”
