The Undertaker after retirement opened up on the struggles he faces with the current WWE product. According to the dead man,  he struggles with the current product because he finds it “a little soft”.

At Survivor Series in November, real name Mark Calaway who by his ring name is called The Undertaker had his Final Farewell where he hung up his wrestling boots after 30 years in the ring. Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience, Calaway was asked if he’s able to enjoy WWE as a fan or if he’s “too close to it”.

“I try,” he answered. “It’s tough for me because the product has changed so much and it’s kind of soft. “I’ll probably piss a lot of people off but they need to hear it. It is what it is. But to the young guys, ‘oh, he’s a bitter old guy.’ I’m not bitter, I did my time.

“I’m good, I walked away when I wanted to walk away. I just think the product is a little soft,” he added. “There’s guys here and there that have an edge to them, but there’s too much pretty and not enough substance right now.”

Ahead of his Final Farewell, Calaway opened up to Digital Spy about the lengths he went to to protect his character early in his career.

“I had to become somewhat of a recluse in my personal life,” he said. “But that wasn’t so bad because you know, early on, I was on the road all the time year round. “My mindset was so engrossed in making sure that character was legitimate and people identified with it in that way, so it was just something that I adapted and made part of my life.”
