Joe Gacy Shuts Down Comparison With Bray Wyatt

Joe Gacy has honed both his skills and personality as an in-ring competitor and is currently one of the rising stars of NXT 2.0.

Gacy has worked hard to establish himself as one of the show’s highlights. Now, he seems to have take on those comparing himself to Bray Wyatt.

The rising star of NXT, led by Shawn Michaels, has done a good job of playing disturbed dark characters before.

However, he is always compared to Bray Wyatt. Joe Gacy plays “Out of Character” so much that people immediately think of Wyatt when they saw his appearance.

Joe Gacy dismissed such comparisons, revealing that he and Bray Wyatt are completely different characters.

Let’s be honest, I’m heavy set. So, they just went, ‘Oh this guy is like Bray Wyatt.’ Then I debut a new character, which is pretty much currently what I’m doing.

Then there’s like a darkness to a character, so automatically everyone just associates it with,

‘Oh, he’s a dark character, he has a beard, he’s heavy set, and he has tattoos. He’s just like Bray Wyatt.’

My opinion, me and Bray Wyatt are very, very different. I don’t think we’re similar.

Maybe the fact that we’re two gimmicks that are darker, I think that’s kinda where I see it.”
