Kevin Owens Says He No Longer Enjoyed Wrestling In 2018
Kevin Owens is considered one of WWE’s top superstars and there’s good reason for that. Owens is currently reviving his career after becoming one half of the undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion. Now it appears he hated wrestling in 2018.
The laureate has more than two decades of experience in the world of professional wrestling, having spent nine years in WWE to date. However, his not all his entire time in the WWE was to his advantage.
Speaking to TNT Sports’ Ariel Helwani, he revealed that he stopped loving wrestling in 2018 because he didn’t do anything as big as he wanted to. This includes his feuds with Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman.
In 2018, I think that was a very low point for me in WWE because I remember that I didn’t do the things that I thought were as important as possible.
I think I wasn’t presented the way I should be, that’s what everyone, at some point in their career, goes through and feels though.
I have Nothing against those guys, but I was literally just a crash test dummy. I did a great job because I gave everything I had. But it also took a huge toll on my body, and at the end of 2018 I thought, ‘I think I need some time [rest]’ because I wasn’t getting any fun from it.
Kyla Braxton Speaks On Leaving WWE
The WWE Undisputed Tag Team championship won’t be defended at SummerSlam because Kevin Owens had to miss a break due to a broken rib.
We’ll have to wait and see when he’s healthy again and back to the ring.
