Hulk Hogan’s birth certificate leaked online, goes viral

Fans of professional wrestling worldwide are reeling  after the shocking revelation that iconic star Hulk Hogan, beloved for decades as a symbol of American patriotism, was actually born in Canada.

Hogan’s long-form birth certificate, obtained by the New York Times thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request, leaked online.

The documentation proves that the so-called Hulkster is anything but a “Real American,” as his theme song erroneously asserts.

The birth certificate reveals that Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea was born on Aug. 11, 1960, at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario, a mid-sized city an hour west of Toronto.

According to immigration records tracked down by the New York Times, the Bollea family only moved to Venice, California, when Terry was 11 years old, at which point Hogan began bodybuilding, tanning himself unnaturally orange, and balding.

The revelation delivers a serious blow to Hogan and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), given that his enduring appeal as an American hero was the impetus behind the company appointing him as “host” of its upcoming WrestleMania event.

According to sources within WWE, the company’s publicity team is in “full damage control mode,” trying to salvage Hogan’s already tenuous status as a favorite among WWE’s increasingly jaded and fickle fans.
