Lexis King was AEW’s Brian Pillman Jr. and had a lot of fun as one half of Varsity Blonde.

His Time with Tony Khan might be over, but Lexi’s obviously had no shortage of desire to quit being a second-generation star.

Currently, as the King of NXT, he is vying for the top spot on its roster and has garnered a lot of attention after his much-hyped debut.
He was someone Triple H really wanted too.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Lexis King explained that after his contract with AEW expired, his contract with WWE came together so quickly that he actually received checks from both companies in the same month.

“It wasn’t so much a decision as it was a necessary transition. I think my time came up in AEW. It was a great run, a great deal financially, I did very well there.

It was that doubt about the future about whether they were going to use me and they were going to use me.

It became apparent when they didn’t re-sign me. So, god bless the agents who picked up the phone on the day my contract ran up, and they got me signed.”

“I think I got paychecks from both companies in the same month. That’s how quickly the ball got rolling.”

Lexis King wants to make a big splash in NXT and is definitely a troublemaker. Only time will tell what happens next for him, but there’s a lot of attention on him.

Shawn Michaels is making the most of Lexis King’s presence.

His charisma is also undeniable and is currently attracting attention.
Even though Tony Khan longer booked him or renewed his contract, WWE had no problem adding him to help with this transition.
