As noted, Apollo Crews vs. WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor for the title was taped at tonight’s NXT TV tapings. The match ended with a big heel turn as Samoa Joe turned on Balor.

The match ended in a DQ as Baron Corbin ran down and attacked Crews and Balor. This brought out Samoa Joe, who took out Corbin but then went to work on Balor. This was described as feeling like a real heel turn with lots of boos for Joe from the crowd. The match will air on November 4th. We will keep you updated on how this plays into plans for the “Takeover: London” main event on December 16th.
