Maria Kanellis Drops Her Cents On The Ongoing ‘ WWE On Fox’ Controversy

AEW star Mark Brisco has publicly criticized the social media account WWE on FOX for adopting the Briscoes’ iconic term “DEM BOYZ” to stand for Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.

The wrestling community had a lot of reaction, with former WWE star Maria Kanellis also joining in as a commentator.

Maria Kanellis freely expressed her disdain for her @WWEOnFox post while sharing a heartfelt photo of Mark and Jay Brisco.

In her passionate response, she emphasized the importance of THE BOYZ’s connection to the Briscoes and the deep impact they had on those around them.

She then shared her emotional memories from two years ago, highlighting her friendships, memories, and the magic of people who lift her up in the wrestling world.

However, one fan dis-agreed with Maria’s post and slammed AEW with phrases like “It’s him” and nicknamed Nick Wayne “Prodigy.”

“Do you have the same energy for AEW using a ‘He’s Him’ shirt and Nick Wayne now being ‘The Prodigy’ … you worked with Rok-C… that one should sting.”

The fan also mentioned that Maria was collaborating with Rok-C and suggested that these incidents should also be investigated.

Malia responded with her resolute stance, not backing down, and revealed that her husband Mike Bennett used the nickname “Prodigy” in Ring of Honor long before Rok-C adopted it.

@RealMikeBennett was The Prodigy in @ringofhonor maybe before Rok-C was born. They talked about it and Mike didn’t care. Not the same.”

She revealed that they had talked about it and that Mike had no objection to Rok-C using the same terminology and claimed that the situations were not comparable.

In the world of professional wrestling, where brands and phrases are often valued, Arguments over who owns the rights to certain catchphrases and terms can spark heated debates.
