Jeff Hardy has gone through many things in his career, including his infamous 2011 appearance on TNA’s Victory Road, where Jeff was so unwell that he lost a match against Sting . The match also had to end prematurely.

Jeff Hardy has publicly battled his addiction demons for years, and it’s no secret.

His younger brother Matt Hardy has been by his side the whole time. Now Matt has opened up about that event in 2011 to put some clarity on the situation.

In the latest episode of Matt Hardy’s Extreme Life, the veteran wrestler took on the infamous TNA Victory Road 2011 event.

In this particular event, both Matt and Jeff Hardy competed in separate matches, with Jeff Hardy losing handsomely in the main event to Sting.

Unfortunately, Jeff was clearly unwell and missed so much moves that night. Here are some key takeaways from Matt’s description of the event.

He should’ve never been allowed to walk out through Gorilla if he was in such a weird state of mind.

I remember hearing there were people saying that he tried to push his way out [and] he wanted to get out, there

whatever, and like, he really shouldn’t have been allowed to get out there.”

Matt Hardy said Jeff Hardy was fine 45 minutes before the start of the main event. That clearly wasn’t the case when the main event took place.
