New Conflicting Reports Regarding Cody Rhodes’ Contract Status

Cody Rhodes is a guy WWE doesn’t want to lose.

Although The current situation surrounding his contract is confusing with contradictory reports, One thing that can’t be debated is WWE’s desire to keep American Nightmare.

Dave Meltzer previously reported that Cody Rhodes signed a new WWE contract several months ago.

It appears that a deal has been proposed, but nothing has been signed yet.

Behind the Fightful paywall, Sean Sapp noted that Cody Rhodes was offered a new WWE contract in October, but sources directly connected to Rhodes say the deal has not yet been signed.

It was also noted that a new WWE contract “is expected to be signed, and an agreement is in place.” We will have to see when that news is 100% confirmed.

Fightful reported Friday that WWE was looking to imminently re-sign him. This weekend, Wrestling Observer reported that a deal was signed in October, but sources close to Cody himself claim that there’s some confusion on that front.

Some WWE Superstars believed that Rose had re-signed or would soon re-sign.

He ultimately purchased a new bus around Thanksgiving, leading many to believe that his investment was tied to a new contract with WWE.
