New Secrets On LA Knight WWE Contract Revealed

L.A. Knight is currently considered one of WWE’s top stars, but his success only came after overcoming major obstacles.

This will be Knight’s second appearance in WWE after his first appearance 10 years ago ended in disappointment.
L.A Knight was also willing to join WWE for an insanely low salary.

For those who don’t know, L.A. Knight signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2013 and spent about a year at the Performance Center before being released from his contract in August 2014.

Knight made a huge impact on the wrestling world during his time with TNA Wrestling under the name Eli Drake.

His outstanding promotional skills and in-ring performance made him famous. Ultimately, these successes played a decisive role in his eventual return to WWE several years later.

In an interview with ESPN, LA Knight revealed that he approached WWE for an opportunity at the end of 2020.

Despite initially being offered a very low salary of $55,000, Mr. Knight was willing to accept the pay cut, believing it would be used to increase his future income.

“I said, ‘If you’re only going to offer me $55,000,’ which was what it was at the time, ‘that’s a major, major downgrade of my lifestyle right now.

I said, ‘But I’m at the ceiling where I’m at right now. I can take the pay cut on the bet that I’m going to turn that into a lot more if that’s all you have to offer me.’

And as soon as I said that, [a WWE official] gets back to me and he’s like, ‘I like that attitude. It’s going to be more than that.’”

LA Knight also overcame multiple exits from WWE. Knight will face Roman Reigns, AJ Styles and Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 27th. It remains to be seen whether Knight will win this month’s match.
