WWE did NOT approach Ric Flair for permission before allowing Paige to disrespect his dead son on RAW … this according to the Hall of Fame wrestler (Ric Flair) — who admits the whole angle made him cry.

Ric Flair discussed the situation on his WOOOOO! Nation podcast saying he wasn’t given a heads up by WWE that Reid Flair — who died of an overdose in 2013 — would be mentioned as part of the angle.

The Nature Boy adds, “I never heard a word about it. I started crying when I was watching it. Nope, nobody called me and no ones called me today. So, I mean … that would indicate that they just assume that that’s good.”

The grieve became intense on the Ric Flair’s family when Paige told Charlotte her brother didn’t have “much fight in him.” The following day, Charlotte’s mother expressed her unhappiness over the situation.

Ric Flair also says he believes his daughter isn’t comfortable saying no to management yet, and that may have been the reason why she didn’t voice any concern beforehand.

“I came back from Japan and I had a blood clot in my leg. They won’t let me leave the hospital but I said I have to leave as my son is only home for a couple of days. We were going on the road,” said Flair. “They released me to go to the doctor’s office and he put me on blood thinners.

“My son sends me a text, saying, ‘Dad what would this family be [without you]? You need to be here for all of us.’ And that night he died. I’ve never told anyone that story, except [my wife] Wendy.”
