WWE Women’s Division has been the focus of criticism recently after several Female Superstars were dropped from the SummerSlam tag. One of WWE’s biggest stars, Rhea Ripley, has expressed support for fans disappointment on social media.

RHEA RIPLEY ENDORSES POST CRITICIZING WOMEN’S ABSENCE FROM SUMMERSLAM CARD

On the July 31 episode of WWE RAW, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus had a rematch that resulted in a disqualification due to Zoey Stark’s interference. This led to RAW’s announcement of a rematch between Lynch and Stratus on August 14, contradicting previous reports that the two were originally scheduled to go head-to-head at WWE SummerSlam.

Similarly, another rumored SummerSlam match between WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez did not materialize, despite a heated altercation in the RAW episode of Homecoming. In response to the growing criticism, a Twitter user named “Rheas bicep” posted screenshots of tweets expressing disappointment at these women’s absence from the SummerSlam tag. The caption for the post reads: “Treat your women better. simple.”

Notably, Rhea Ripley liked the post, showing her concurrence with the sentiment. The WWE Women’s division has made significant progress in recent years, with female superstars showcasing their exceptional skills and abilities. However, some fans believe more can be done to favor women’s matches and storylines in major pay-per-view events like SummerSlam.

While there won’t be some matches, there will always be female representation on the SummerSlam card. Asuka is set to defend her WWE Women’s Championship in a triple-threat match against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair, while Ronda Rousey takes on Shayna Baszler in an MMA match.

As the event approached, WWE continued to face criticism from fans who advocated better treatment and representation of women’s matches at major pay-per-view events like SummerSlam.

What do you think of WWE Women’s Division representation at major pay-per-view events like SummerSlam? Do you think more emphasis should be placed on women’s matches and storylines? Leave a comment.
