Sami Zayn Opens Up On Pursuing An Acting Career

Sami Zayn has been with WWE for 10 years and has really been on his own level for a long time when it comes to perfecting storylines.

His involvement with The Bloodline has taken him to levels he’s never been to before. Well it seems that this aspect sparked his interest in acting.

Some WWE superstars have gone on to become big stars in Hollywood, including The Rock, John Cena, and Batista.

What was once considered impossible is now becoming the norm for WWE superstars.

Speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Sami Zayn revealed how the story of ‘The Bloodline’ inspired him to pursue an acting career.

“The more I got to flex those chops a little bit with that storyline because of the level of depth and the range of emotions I got really bit by the bug,” Zayn revealed.

“I was like, ‘This feels great I love it.’ I love wrestling stuff where I can really act more.

In fact, I’d love to act, it kind of opened that door a little bit for me. It’s definitely something I’m interested in.

If I am genuinely just interested in pursuing the craft then it doesn’t need to be for Hollywood movies,” Zayn said.

“I could do local theatre, that’s almost more intriguing to me in some ways. Genuinely learning the craft,

is that really what I am interested in, or is there an egotistical component where I’m like, well I’d like to leverage this popularity from WWE and do shows that I am a fan of.”

With Kevin Owens still sidelined with a legitimate injury, it’s unclear what WWE has in store for Owens and Sami Zayn as the Undisputed Tag Team Champions.

We’ll have to see what happens with these two in the coming weeks.
