Shawn Michael Says CM Punk Is Welcome To Join NXT At Anytime

CM Punk was fired from AEW, and he has a ton of controversies surrounding his name. It seems that he may have an open invitation from NXT if Shawn Michaels was the only guy calling the shots.

Shawn Michaels recently took part in a conference for the media before No Mercy.

During that time, he was asked whether he would ever have CM Punk in NXT. The Heartbreak Kid’s response might have caught some fans off-guard.

“Of course we’d welcome him in NXT, I don’t know if he’d want to do it here, he’d want to go to the main roster.”

Shawn Michaels went on to say that he always loved CM Punk, because he always “understood” CM Punk. He’s a “different kind of cat” and HBK admits that might be why he sympathizes with him.

It was also made clear that the call for CM Punk in WWE does not belong to Shawn Michaels. He 100% wants CM Punk in NXT, then said “but I don’t think they’ll let me.” HBK then commented that he would let us know if this comment got him in trouble.
