During Undertaker’s promo targeting AJ Styles, the Dead Man sported a fresh style and seemed to call back to his American Badass days as he dropped the smoke and mirrors, referenced his real life marriage to Michelle McCool and promised to make his foe famous.

Some WWE fans also noticed him calling Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson a pair of ‘ass-clowns’, with some of them pointing out the insult was coined – in wrestling terms at least – by AEW’s Chris Jericho back in the day.

My bad @IAmJericho ….I knew I had heard that somewhere before….

Taker’s fellow wrestling legend didn’t seem too fussed as he insisted the Dead Man has earned the right to say whatever he wants after such a storied and innovative run in the business.

Responding to a fan, he tweeted: ‘He’s The Undertaker…he can [use] as many of my catch phrases as he wants!’ Because it’s 2020 and even the undead have social media, it didn’t take long for Taker himself to weigh in as he apologized to Jericho and joked he knew he recognized the insult.

He teased: ‘My bad @IAmJericho ….I knew I had heard that somewhere before…’ Taker was in fine form on Raw this week, referring to his opponent by his real name Allen Jones and insisted 10 or 15 years ago, AJ was a big fish in a little pond as he took a shot at his opponent’s TNA days.
