Thunder Rosa Calls Out WWE On Radio

WWE has plenty of storylines to offer across all three shows, but NXT may have won over any other brand on the controversial side.

However, Thunder Rosa decided to call out WWE in a controversially NXT related angle.

The December 19th episode of WWE NXT was pre-taped, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of fans paying attention to spoilers.

This week on NXT, Ilya Dragunov faced off against Ridge Holland, who returned to NXT after leaving Smackdown.

Ilya Dragunov’s impressive run as NXT Champion continues, but fans were worried it would come to an abrupt end after this week’s show.

That’s because Ridge Holland landed a DDT to the head of Ilya Dragunov and was stuck, forcing the match to be called off.
Dragunov was then loaded onto a stretcher backwards, shocking fans.

On Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa talked about this aspect, saying that this is all too close to reality considering Holland broke his neck last year and ended Big E’s career, so from this perspective Ridge… criticized WWE for its portrayal of Holland.

“When you have to run angles when it’s very close to reality … his opponent, of course, was the one who was in the ring when Big E got hurt, and he got hurt fairly badly to the point where it’s an ending career injury.

“It got intense [on Twitter] because people were calling him [Holland] all kinds of stuff, probably even got death threats, who knows.”

For me, personally, there are certain things that … they have to have a big payoff and I think you have to be in the ring and you have to sign it with blood

“When you’re playing with fire with someone who already has a bad ‘track record,’ it’s going to be difficult.

“If they label him as an unsafe worker and they then do this and it turns out to be true, what else are they gonna do?”

Ridge Holland also broke his silence after making controversial jabs. WWE’s internal reaction to the stretcher spot has also been revealed.

It remains to be seen when Dragunov will return to NXT TV, as the New Year’s Calamity is just around the corner.
