Top WWE Superstars Are Against CM Punk’s Return After AEW Release

CM Punk’s career in WWE came to a sudden halt after the 2014 Royal Rumble, when he left WWE out of frustration.

Punk’s relationship with WWE is far from the best right now, and several top WWE superstars appear to be against Punk’s return to WWE after his departure from AEW.

During AEW All In Zero Hour, Jack Perry referenced a dispute with CM Punk over the use of real glass.

This led to a backstage altercation between CM Punk and Perry prior to the All In London match between Punk and Samoa Joe, and much drama ensued.

CM Punk and Jack Perry have reportedly been suspended following a backstage clash.

This ultimately led to Tony Kahn firing CM Punk from AEW, and this week he also opened up about collision, explaining why Punk was fired.

According to Sean Ross Sapp’s Twitter account, some of WWE’s top superstars do not want CM Punk to return to Vince McMahon’s company.

There’s always a chance, but there are a lot of top people on the roster in WWE that don’t want him there.

CM Punk’s dismissal from AEW was also a big topic at Payback.

Either way, time will tell if CM Punk returns to the pro wrestling ring, as it’s highly unlikely at this point.
