Triple H Replies Folks Criticizing Cody Rhode’s ’39 Booking

Cody Rhodes immediately ranked as a major star after his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and within a year, he was featured in this year’s main event of WrestleMania 39. However, he fell short of what fans wanted and now it appears Triple H has hit back at critics of Rhodes’ booking at WrestleMania 39.

American Nightmare challenged Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 on Sunday. Fans around the world thought that Rhodes would eventually finish the run as champion of Roman Reigns.

However, that was not the case as Roman Reigns won the match after multiple interferences from The Bloodline. The loss of Cody Rhodes angered many fans and professional wrestlers.

At the SummerSlam Premium live event, Cody Rhodes took on Brock Lesnar in a solid match. Rhodes would win the match and Lesnar hugged him and showed him respect.

At the press conference after SummerSlam, Triple H addressed critics of Cody Rhodes’ booking at WrestleMania 39 and talked about how much better Rhodes is now.

“Name the number of people Brock Lesnar has lifted after going through such a game, shake their hand and give them a hug before stepping outside.

I know Brock, I work with him all the time. That’s a pretty ass for me. So when Cody realized what had happened, it was a moment.
