Vince McMahon Netflix Documentary Set To Be Released

Vince McMahon was WWE Chairman for several years and had the final say on everything that happened in the company for decades.

This is no longer the case after WWE and UFC merged to form TKO Holdings. A Netflix documentary based on his life is currently in the works and a release schedule has been revealed.

WWE announced in 2020 that it was partnering with Netflix to produce a documentary about Vince McMahon.

Bill Simmons was put in charge of the project, but it was later suggested that the project was abandoned. This did not happen at all because the documentary is still being prepared.

While speaking on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, Bill Simmons talked about the upcoming Vince McMahon documentary.

”Oh yeah (the Vince McMahon documentary is happening). It’s f****** awesome. I think it’s gonna be the first part of next year, and Chris Smith is directing it…

I don’t know if he’s one of the five best documentary directors or one of the best three or whatever.

Whatever short list it’s on, he’s on it and we spent a lot of time on it and I don’t wanna say too much — yes (I had access to Vince).

Well that was the initial conceit of it so I don’t wanna say too much but I will say that I think it has a chance to be pretty spectacular.”

Simmons said he believes the documentary will be released in the “early part” of 2024.

Vince McMahon was also left out of the final editing choices for the upcoming Netflix documentary.

We’ll have to wait and see if the final documentary covers all the controversial aspects of Vince McMahon’s life.
