Warner Brothers Pulls Plug On John Cena’s Movie Release

John Cena has had quite a career outside of WWE, but his schedule is a little tighter now.

The coveted WWE Hall of Famer recently had one of his upcoming projects cancelled.

The former 16-time world champion, known for his extensive wrestling career, starred in the live-action hybrid film Coyote vs. Acme, starring the iconic Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote.

This particular project was produced under the direction of James Gunn, known for his work on the Guardians of the Galaxy and Super series, and directed by Dave, known for his work on Earth to Echo. It was also Directed by Green.

Notably, production on this film was completed in 2022.

However, a recent report from Variety confirms that Warner Bros. has decided to pull the completed film from its release schedule.

This move by Warner Bros brings to recall a similar incident over a year ago when the studio pulled a fully completed Batgirl movie, citing tax deductions.

That’s a shame because fans may never get to see this fully produced movie. Unfortunately, many fans and industry critics have speculated that Warner Bros is doing this as a tax write-off.

John Cena, a well-known figure in both the professional wrestling and movie worlds, competed at WWE Crown Jewel and lost a match to Solo Sikoa.

This match could be one of Cena’s last appearances, as the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike suggests he will likely return to action in Hollywood in the near future.
