WWE Giving Nice Push To Trick Williams In NXT

Published

on

The WWE has several NXT potential superstars. They seem to inspire Trick Williams to achieve great things.

Trick Williams had to let Carmelo Hayes know he was no longer a sidekick. He will always support Hayes, but he had to go out and do his own thing in NXT.

That being said, WWE might have great things in store for him.

Speaking to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned how WWE booked Trick Williams to defeat Bronn Breaker at the NXT House Show.

“He beat Bron Breakker at one of the house shows this weekend. I think it was Tampa, yeah, impromptu challenge and he beat him.

Look, for what they want, Trick Williams has a great deal of potential. He’s a great talker,

he has a look, the only thing is he’s not a great wrestler, but athlete, I think the hope is that in time, obviously, they’re not rushing him up, which is a good thing.

If they brought him up right now, he’d be one of those guys who’d get a stigma of failure on him, so they’re not rushing him up.”

Beating the former NXT Champion was a big deal for Trick, but apparently that’s not all they have in store for him.

Trick Williams takes on Ilya Dragunov in this week’s NXT Heatwave. For Williams, it’s clear he needs to continue to prove himself and this will be a big game.

Dragunov is also the type of wrestler who can put up a great fight against any opponent.
