It is indeed good news that WWE bringing in another top diva to make the women division a bit stronger that what it were. It is a welcome development I must confess.

There is a kind of relationship with WWE and UFC as we know before now and things seem to be working well with these sports entertainment companies. It was recently announced that that top UFC fighter Ronda Rousey will be joining WWE. Report has it that she would be on her way to the WWE ring after her match with Amanda Nunes on 30th December at UFC 207 in Las Vegas.

More so, the chief brand officer of the WWE, Stephanie McMahon spoke to Martin Rogers of USA Today about their expectations of the Ronda. Below are some highlights of the interview: “Our fans love Ronda. Ronda has this cross platform appeal in terms of all forms of entertainment. We would welcome her with open arms. She is the total package.”

Stephanie commented on Ronda’s wrestlemania 31 segments by saying: “The moment was awe inspiring. Our business works the best when there is magic and energy in the air, and Ronda’s presence brought that. With a guest appearance like Ronda’s, to work best it has to be genuine and authentic. Pop culture is a huge strategy for WWE; our storylines are reflective of what’s happening in the world and what’s popular. In sports, it doesn’t get much more popular than Ronda.”

Finally, Stephanie talked of Ronder being a better in ring figure: “Muhammad Ali credited pro wrestling for his trash talking skills and persona. I would like to think there is a bit of ‘Rowdy’ and wrestling history in Ronda and the way she carries herself, but she is definitely her own individual brand.”

According to rumor, Ronder would be facing Charlotte Flair upon her return to WWE. Anyway, it has not been officially confirmed but if this happens to be true, then Ronder would to be a full time WWE fighter after her UFC match.
