WWE NEWS: Former WWE Women’s Champion Returning To The Company – See WWE Plans For Her…
It is just too difficult to say die, most especially when you still want to try. The game of wrestling is a very interesting and it is not that easy to quit.
It was announced tonight that former Diva and Women’s Champion Mickie James would be returning to the WWE after nearly a decade. Not only will she return to WWE under the NXT banner, but she’ll be challenging NXT Women’s Champion Asuka for her championship at NXT TakeOver: Toronto.
James has been with TNA for several years now, eventually becoming their Knockouts Champion, but she left the company in 2013, then returned briefly last year. Her return isn’t just a shock, but it really seems those reports that WWE had been reaching out past talent is quite the reality.
Across TNA and WWE, James is a 9-time champion, which is a national record. Should she defeat Asuka at TakeOver and become a 10-time Women’s Champion, it will put James in a class truly of her own.
