She hates her fans (or does she?)

After more than a year of silence, speculation about her future mounted as Rousey, who swapped arm bars for feeding chickens, told the Wild Ride! with Steve-O podcast that her future with WWE was non-existent.

“What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?”, she said.

Focusing on the farm

In the year that Rousey has not been in the ring, she has focused on building a sustainable farm, Browsey Acres, with her husband Travis Browne.

She promotes the idea of being financially free, living off the land and not being dependent on the outside world. Her new best friend is a donkey called Milly.

The athlete may have been respected in the UFC, but in WWE land, she quickly turned into a “heel”. In the wrestling world, that means playing the villain. Speculation is rife that for all Rousey’s dirty talk, she’s merely setting the scene for her return, while training on her farm.

Why did WWE star ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey swap fame for life on a farm?

Two faces: the truth

he fact is that Rousey is signed to the WWE until April 2021. End of. Playing the heel only means that when she does make her comeback, it’ll create even more hype.

So, can she do farm life and still fight? Of course! Considering Rousey has hinted that she’ll do WWE appearances every now and then, that leaves more than enough time for her to bond with her chickens while still keeping her fighting profile and some cash in the bank to fund that farm. Well, until 2021 that is.
