Injury is no longer a strange term when it come to wrestling because wrestling is an entertainment where injury can never be denied its place.

Over some time now, there have been news about injuries and as far as wrestling is concern, injuries are bound to happen because the game deals with struggles and lot more. One of the WWE NXT superstars by name Hideo Itami was once sidelined due to injury which kept off action for almost a year. The injury met him during his match against Austin Aries, whom he confronted and gave the GTS to at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

Hideo Itami was set to team up with Kota Ibushi for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic but with what recently happened to him at a live event. Ryan Satin of the Pro Wrestling Sheet gave a report that Itami supposedly injured his neck at an NXT Live event on October 1st in a match where he teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura to take on Riddick Moss and Tino Sabatelli.

According to source, the injury happened when a power slam went wrong and Riddick Moss slammed him against his neck. There was an original plan for Hideo Itami to team up with Kota Ibushi for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic but because of the injury, he won’t be able to wrestle in that match.

Initially, Hideo was going to be facing Austin Aries at NXT Takeover: Toronto that is unless he and Kota had made it to the semi-finals, as the semi-finals and finals, both take place on the show. Ryan Satin stated that there were no exact areas where he sustained the injury; the neck area is what is being reported. With what we saw at the display given, it will be easier to say that the neck was the area that would be injured.

So, for this reason, Hideo Itami will be out of action for some weeks until he fully recovers and clears to return to the ring once again. Well, we hope he just recovers too soon and get back to where he left the race. We wish him the best of luck and quick recovery.
