Veteran wrestler Kevin Sullivan, popularly known as ‘The Taskmaster’, discussed various topics including deceased wrestler Chris Benoit, Brock Lesnar, as well as the direction WWE has taken in recent times. Sullivan also was of the opinion that if the WWE could train their talent across five development centres located in various parts of the United States, it would do both parties a whole lot of good as the talents would be more accustomed to performing on the road.

Sullivan was full of praise for Brock Lesnar, noting that legitimacy is the main ingredient that made Lesnar what he is today, comparing him to other athletes who came through on merit like Goldberg, Ronda Rousey, and Kurt Angle.

The veteran wrestler also pointed out that Lesnar needs some fresh challenges thrown at him because his repeated matches with John Cena, the Undertaker and Triple H would lose its charm after a while, and stated that fresh matches would be a win for both parties.

The 66-year-old had quite a bit to say on the Chris-Nancy Benoit tragedy, despite it being a sensitive topic due to Nancy leaving him for Chris.

Sullivan once again dismissed the rumour that he had something to do with the couple’s murder-suicide, with Jim Ross remarking that he performed so convincingly as his character on WWE that people forgot the difference between real and reel life when it came to him.

Kevin admitted that the accusations had an impact on him too until Nancy’s mother and sister assured him that he wasn’t to blame. Sullivan reflected on the couple’s final year, stating that both Nancy and Chris lived separately in houses owned by him in Florida.

The wrestler also spoke of how the incident affected Nancy’s family, saying, “I’ve had tragedies in my life, but Nancy’s family—who I still talk to on occasion—lost everything. Nancy’s sister can’t have children, so not only did [her parents] lose their daughter, they lost the only grandchild they’re ever going to have.”

Despite the animosity that Kevin shared with Chris, the wrestler still told Ross that Chris was a really great guy, which is one of the reasons why he decided to bestow the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on him.
