Renowned Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde still makes headlines in the entertainment industry even though she hardly has time for acting anymore. Few days ago, she made it to Abuja to attend the Female Food Hero Awards due to her commitment to women empowerment.

The award came to be like this: Oxfam conceived the Female Food Hero (FFH) in a bid to recognize and celebrate female farmers in Nigeria using Agrotainment. It’s a creative gender initiative and the awards, which is also referred to as the Female Food Hero Award or Ogbonge Woman is an event that honors women in rural areas who are into agriculture.
