Breaking News: Mike Ricci Injured, Out of WSOF 27 – See What WSOF President Ray Sefo Said About The Injury – Full Details
It has just been reported that a hip injury has forced Mike Ricci out of action for the second time; the first one happened about two months ago when the Canadian star was pulled out from World Series of Fighting’s one-night lightweight tournament.

The news was first broke by the organization who publicly stated on Monday that Ricci would be out of action following a hip injury he sustained. Consequently, the scheduled bout Ricci was supposed to have against Caros Fodor in the main event of WSOF 27 has been cancelled.
The WSOF President Ray Sefo stated in a release that: “Our entire team wishes Mike Ricci a full and speedy recovery, and hopes to see him return soon.” May we state that Ricci beat Joe Condon through first-round knockout at WSOF 25 just before he withdrew prior to the evening’s semifinal round.
Now that the Canadian is out with injury, Fodor has been slated to do a match against Brazilian veteran Luiz Firmino on the Jan. 23 card at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn.
That matchup has been downgraded to co-headlining status, while the original light heavyweight co-main event between Teddy Holder and Shamil Gamzatov has been promoted to the top of the bill.
