Yearly, levels of cricketers are elevated through ranking as they continuously perform domestically to qualify for the national side. No matter how skillful or dexterous a cricket may be, luck plays a very strong role in putting his career in good shape. Sometimes, some cricketers need luck to make them find their way back as occasionally they play out of favour.

In the just concluded Indian Premier League, Mandeep Singh one of the cricketers, got injured some minutes before the RCB’s cricket match against the Gujarat Lions, giving way for KL Rahul. He accepted this opportunity and hit the franchise with his first fifty. This was a good start indeed and continued till the series against Zimbabwe. See below a list of five cricketers whose injuries broke forth into luck for another cricketer:

Teams feared that Gayle would not be available for the whole edition as a result he was not picked for the teams auctions leading to the IPL 2011 due to his commitments in the international body. He was at home even after his recovery from his injury.

Dirk Nannes who sustained a side strain though was initially picked for the RCB squad but was later removed for the season due to his injury. He was replaced by Chris Gayle and was given the opportunity to play for the Bangalore franchise and the burly Jamaican have been up and doing since then. In the 2011 edition, he scored a 600 mammoth run and also has scored five centuries for them ever since then.
