LA Knight To Referee On NXT Title Match This Week

WWE presented a big episode of NXT on the USA Network this week.

They had a lot of announcements to start the series and there were even more surprises than fans thought.

Cody Rhodes kicks off NXT this week with a big announcement or two. Ilja Dragunov chanted “Happy Birthday”. After all, October 10th is his birthday.

Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley then entered. After a brief argument, Dragunov agreed to put his NXT title on the line against Dominik Mysterio on that night’s show.

That’s not all, as special guest, general manager Cody Rhodes set an important stipulation for the match. He announced that LA Knight would be the special guest referee.

We previously reported that LA Knight was spotted backstage wearing a referee shirt. It looks like he has a very special mission in NXT this week.
